Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare introduces new accessible bathlift to its Bathroom Safety range
Mobility equipment specialist Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has announced the launch of the latest addition to its Bathroom Safety range, the Bellavita NOVA Bathlift.
This new model includes all the features that made its predecessor such a success, according to the supplier, and offers “exciting” new features and patented innovations that it hopes will bring something unique to the market.
Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has been a driving force in the bathlift market for many years, further strengthened following the acquisition of bathlift industry giants such as Endres, AquaJoy and Mountway. One of the most successful and bestselling bathlifts to come out of those times is the Bellavita, originally launched in the UK in 2008 but its journey of development started much earlier in Germany.
Ralf Huber, Junior International Category Manager for Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, stated: “It was back in the 1990’s when one of our technicians Robert Kempter based at our site in Isny (Allgäu), Germany, played a key role in developing the very first battery-powered bath lift. Robert is still very much part of the team of bathlift experts, who as part of our continual development process have designed solutions to make the Bellavita even better.”
The Bellavita NOVA features a patented removable backrest, which when the bathlift is in its lowest position can be removed by a carer or family member. This enables the user to enjoy the full length of the bath, for comfort and even deeper water immersion. It also has a new patented dual column to ensure optimum stability when rising and lowering across the full height range, plus providing excellent stability for transfers on and off the bathlift.

The Bellavita NOVA offers a comfortable bathing experience, in a product which Drive claims is “very easy” to install, “very reliable” and which provides a safe and convenient way to support the continued use of your bath.
The backrest reclines to a maximum angle of 50 degrees, it has a very low seat height of 6.5cm, an impressive maximum seat height of 48cm, is very lightweight at only 9.5kg without the handset and has a generous weight capacity of 170g.
