Pride Mobility Mini CrosserAfter 25 years of trading, Pride Mobility and Medema have announced their best alliance yet, introducing the Mini Crosser. Pride Mobility offers a wide range of products from lightweight travel scooters to heavy-duty ones. Adding the Mini Crosser into the mix now allows Pride to offer a high-end luxury product like no other, as Paul Clayton, Senior Sales Manager at Pride Mobility explains…

Can you provide some detail about the relationship/history between Pride Mobility and Medema?

“The relationship between Pride Mobility and Medema is one that extends back to 1998. It was in this year that Medema brought the first Pride Mobility Jazzy chairs into Norway and Denmark.

“Since then, the relationship has flourished far beyond just the Jazzy line-up. Medema work with Pride on our scooters, Jazzy-Air, Stealth Products, Stealth cushions and Quantum Rehab ranges and recently Medema was very successful on the Norwegian tender with the Quantum Edge and new 4-Front 2.0.

“Pride Mobility and Medema are constantly looking at ways we can help each other by joining forces to expand our respective businesses in various countries.”

Can you tell us a bit more about the Mini Crosser?

“With a weight capacity of up to 27.7st and speeds of up to 8mph, the Mini Crosser is built with comfort in mind.

“The innovative swivel seat can be adapted to cater for all shapes and sizes, with adjustable height, depth, and width settings as well as movable arm and head rests – allowing the customer to find the perfect position for them. The light-sensitive control panel is equipped with every feature you can think of from the mileage tracker down to the anti-theft alarm.

“As well as this, the bright LED indicator and headlights can be altered to suit the driver’s needs. With a life expectancy of at least 10 years, the Mini Crosser is built from head to toe with adjustable features to ensure ultimate comfort that lasts.”

The Mini Crosser is well established in the UK market; what makes it an attractive addition to the Pride Mobility range?

“Think of the Mini Crosser as the Rolls Royce of the mobility industry. It is made to perfection with consideration taken with every inch of its design. Whilst here at Pride we continue to create innovative technology such at Zero-Turn and I-Level, the Mini Crosser is taking that technology to the next level.

“Yes, it is more expensive than our other scooters within the range, but you really do get what you pay for: a scooter that can be adapted to personally fit your size shape and needs. And with a life expectancy of at least 10 years it is an investment worth making.

“Pride will be stocking both the standard Mini Crosser X1 and standard Mini Crosser X2, as well as offering a made-to-order service for a customer that wishes to have a custom-made scooter with expected lead times of no more than four weeks.”

Can you provide an idea about what options are available are for the made-to-order service?

“The possibilities are endless! The Mini Crosser comes with multiple seating options including Heavy Duty down to children seating. These seats also come with electric options, allowing you to raise, recline, and swivel the seat at the touch of a button.

“If a hand throttle isn’t for you, you can opt for foot pedal acceleration instead. There is also an abundance of accessories to choose from including handle bar extensions and windscreen visors.”

Does Pride have a strategy with regards introducing the Mini Crosser to its retailer network?

“We will stock both the X1 and X2 models at Pride Bicester for a quick delivery, but the Mini Crosser has lots of options and extras so we will also offer special builds and the cabin crosser to be made to order.

“Pride will be looking to build partnerships with dealers who are keen to develop this product within their retail environment and can back it up with a first-class knowledge of the product and its benefits. Pride will offer full training on both the retail and service aspects of the product and will support the dealers that invest the time in the product.”

What is coming up for Pride Mobility this year?

“Pride are introducing some new and exciting scooters to the market throughout the year and some of them will be on show at the Naidex Exhibition in March. Including the introduction of the BAJA range as well as new and improved features on some of our existing lines. I really recommend coming along to the exhibition to find out.”

Does Pride Mobility have any other news that it would like to share with readers of THIIS

“This is an exciting but busy time for Pride Mobility UK. We have recently moved into a much bigger property where our Sitting Pretty range will be manufactured. This new property has allowed all operations to happen under one roof improving communication, customer experience and lead times.

“Also, within the Sitting Pretty brand we have a brand new patented Premier Plus mechanism; a new and improved version of our already best-selling premier mechanism. Again this will be featured at Naidex!”
