Home Health Monitoring range by Drive
Mobility equipment specialist Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has now entered the Home Health Monitoring equipment market, with a new range of products which includes blood pressure monitors, digital thermometers and blood glucose monitors.

Nikki Alves, Junior Category Manager for Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, commented: “The market for home health monitoring products has been growing for some time now but this has taken a huge upturn since the pandemic, with more and more people choosing to monitor their health from home.

“The benefits of home health monitoring have been widely publicised, with many individuals feeling much more comfortable testing at home, as opposed to the anxiety sometimes associated with the GP’s surgery, which in some cases can affect the result.”

This new Drive DeVilbiss range includes two blood pressure monitors. The first model takes a measurement from the upper arm and the second from the wrist. They are both fully automatic, feature a large LCD screen and have a 120 reading memory capacity.

High blood pressure (or hypertension) is often known as a ‘silent killer’ because most people show no symptoms. If left untreated it can increase the risk of heart attack, heart disease, stroke and kidney disease.

Drive DeVilbiss hope this new range will help individuals to monitor themselves regularly and work cohesively with their GP, nurse, or healthcare professional to proactively manage their health. In Ear Thermometer, Drive

The new Home Health Monitoring range also includes three digital thermometers, two models take a measurement from the ear and the third from the forehead. In particular, the forehead thermometers became very prominent during the pandemic as they are non-contact, don’t require consumables and are ideal for those working in the care sector or individuals returning to the office.

Adam Naylor, Head of Regional Dealers, told THIIS: “This is an exciting new range for us, we certainly see it as a new opportunity, and we hope our customers do too, they are perfectly positioned to take advantage of this growing market. I believe these products will be a great “add on” sale or an impulse purchase when their customers are in store”

The range also includes two blood glucose monitors, both compact digital devices to help users with diabetes monitor their blood glucose levels. Both models feature an LCD backlight, 360 reading memory and a five-second reading time for fast results.

Nikki Alves added: “We’re all excited to see how many customers buy into this new range and ultimately how well the new products sell through their stores. We see this as a real growth area for Drive, hence I’ve already begun working to develop and source other products that would be great additions to this range.

“I also think it sends a great message to our customers that as an organisation we continue to look for new products and new sales opportunities that move away from our core range.”
