Theraposture at The OT Show
Shaun Masters, Occupational Therapist, and the Theraposture team will be hosting ‘Getting legs into bed’ CPD seminars at the OT Show.

To help solve the huge issue of independent bed transfers in the community, adjustable care cots and beds specialist Theraposture will be hosting express CPD seminars for healthcare professionals at The OT Show in Birmingham this week.

The 15-minute ‘Getting legs into bed‘ express seminars will be hosted by occupational therapist Shaun Masters on 23rd and 24th November at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm.

The presentations will focus on key considerations regarding a safe transfer into, out of and away from a bed. From a clinical point of view, Shaun will demonstrate why a Theracare Leg Lifter and the award-winning Rotoflex rotating bed system can be appropriate for improved occupational performance in a variety of client scenarios.

Shaun will focus on achieving client enablement and independence along with reduced carer intervention and cost, Theraposture has confirmed. The seminars will feature the Rotoflex 235 Plus Mk2 rotational bed – a previous OT Show ‘Excellence in Caring’ Award winner.

Participants in the webinar can expect interactive demonstrations of a Leg Lifter and single Rotoflex bed and get to see and try proven solutions to the problem of getting in and out of bed.

They will be able to obtain a better understanding of potential care cost savings and why certain products are relevant to medical conditions. They can also expect a better understanding of the latest legislation for appropriate bed prescription and be able to gather case studies for evidence of successful outcomes.

The webinar can be added to CPD hours, with participants able to receive a certificate and reflective log for their portfolio.

On Stand G51 the content is part of the ongoing educational CPD programme from Theraposture. Its Trusted Assessors will be available to explain further about their free ‘Lunch n Learn’ product demonstrations and live CPD webinars. In addition to training guidance the Theraposture team will be showcasing fast delivery padded care cot packages, free bed moves and free home and video client product assessments.
