Patient moving and handling specialists Care & Independence have announced a new member of its sales team – Kathryn Emasealu.
Covering the Northern region, Kathryn brings vast experience of working with patients of all abilities across adult and paediatric care, with a background in physio and sports therapy.
Kathryn will be providing local support to occupational therapists and professional carers through offering free assessments, product training and general advice on safe moving and handling.
James Bennett Sales & Marketing Director said of the appointment, “We are delighted to have someone with Kathryn’s real-world experience and knowledge taking up the mantle in the North.
“I have every faith that Kathryn will quickly establish herself as a go-to person for local OTs seeking help with GLOVE sling and bathing product solutions.”
Headquartered in Bicester, Care and Independence is a Class-1 medical devices British manufacturer and supplier of specialist moving and handling equipment for the less abled.
Its slings and bathing products help improve the daily life and aim to give greater independence to the end user, whether in hospital, a nursing home or in their own home environment.
In March, in response to international tensions between Russia and the Ukraine having a devastating impact on the citizens of Ukraine, the firm set up a Ukraine War Relief Initiative JustGiving page to support the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
As a business Care and Independence has also donated over £1,700 by making a financial contribution from every product sold for every day since the war began.
