Theraposture’s latest CPD masterclass focuses on paediatric cot bed legislation
Adjustable care cots and beds specialist Theraposture is set to host its next CPD webinar focused on paediatric cot bed legislation for mobility and access professionals in September.
The live CPD masterclass webinar will discuss paediatric cot bed regulations for clinicians who prescribe cot beds to clients.
Cot bed regulations are complex and can often be misunderstood by clinicians when prescribing cot beds for clients. The aim of the session is to provide information that specifically relates to the BS EN regulations.
Shaun Masters, Independent Occupational Therapist (OT) and Equipment Specialist, will host the webinar entitled: ‘Understanding Paediatric Cot Bed Legislation in Clinical Practice’ on Monday 19 September (12.30-13.15) and Tuesday 20 September (9.30-10.15).
By attending the webinar, clinicians and other healthcare professionals will: gain an understanding of paediatric cot bed regulations when prescribing these assistive interventions; what the standards BS EN 50637:2017 and BS EN 60601-2-52 relate to; the key components relating to the regulations; how to select the correct cot bed to meet the child’s needs whilst conforming to the regulations; the variable height for carers and the manufacture conformity of materials.
Products will be used within the webinar to specifically highlight the information being discussed, as this is expected to provide a more informative learning experience.
