Baffin Technology Systems launches specialist car seat for children with disabilities
Mobility equipment supplier Baffin Technology has announced that its specialist car seat – designed to offer children as much support and adjustment as possible – is now available.
The Baffin 1 Car Seat helps children achieve the optimum postural support and positioning when travelling in a car as it features a rotating platform which makes getting in and out of the car seat much easier for everyone.
To ensure the child is comfortable at all times, the Baffin 1’s footrest is height and angle adjustable while the backrest also features side supports which can be especially useful for smaller children to ensure they maintain the correct sitting position.
An additional seat cushion is also available should the width of the seat need to be further reduced.
Additional headrest upholstery is also available should the child require more support to the side of the head while the integrated chest strap supports the torso and helps with positioning. There are also two leg abduction belts for children that need to stabilise their lower limbs.
When the car is not in motion, a table accessory can be attached to the car seat but this must be removed before the vehicle resumes its journey.
