Theraposture appoints new Trusted Assessor to support end users with disabilities
Adjustable care cots and beds specialist Theraposture has appointed Richard ‘Richie’ King as its latest Trusted Assessor with responsibility for supporting end users with disabilities and healthcare professionals in the west of England and throughout Wales.
Richie brings a wealth of client-facing business experience, Theraposture states, which will mean that clients will benefit from a pro-active and diligent service. Since beginning his new role Richie has worked in close contact with the other established Trusted Assessors and is now beginning to build on the company’s respected reputation with his own unique style.
Taking on the responsibility of client equipment assessments, occupational therapist support and hosting CPD training sessions are roles Richie is highly enthused about as he explains: “I am delighted to be onboard with Theraposture as all the objectives I need to fulfil perfectly match my personality and skillset.
“As a caring and compassionate individual, I thrive on achieving positive outcomes for individuals and families; seeing every result is a huge reward and what motivates me daily. Equally I believe helping professionals strengthen their clinical practice is essential. Hence, I am actively encouraging all OTs to join me for my free lunch ‘n’ learn group workshops so suitable equipment can be demonstrated and discussed, with a view to solving specific client needs in the fastest and most value effective way.”
In addition to assessing clients in their own homes, Richie can host a range of product demonstrations, workshops, seminars and webinars in conjunction with the Theraposture OT, Shaun Masters. These group sessions from Theraposture continue to be popular with healthcare professionals as they provide a free opportunity to explore how client mobility, safety and cost issues can be resolved through the right assistive bed, chair or care cot.
Outside of work Richie is a keen globally traveller, with a passion particularly for skiing, and enjoys financial trading on the stock market as a part-time hobby.
