Starting as a diligent and hands-on product specialist, Simon led the formation of a specialised paediatric rehabilitation team in 2017, expanding the business outward from our manufacturing and NHS Wheelchair Service roots, showcasing his astute understanding of the industry’s nuances and demonstrating exceptional management capabilities.

Alan Wombell, Director of RMS, commented: “Simon is an invaluable addition to our senior leadership team. His experience and remarkable leadership skills will undoubtedly drive this new sales division to new heights.

“Simon’s vision perfectly aligns with our long term goals of providing user-led equipment throughout Specialist Schools, Child Development Centres and all Paediatric backgrounds.”

Simon’s promotion to Rehabilitation Sales Director heralds an exciting new chapter for RMS, following product acquisitions such as the Kaye Walker from collapsed Quest 88 in October last year; consistent growth throughout the paediatric team; and the launch of products such as the Virtus Powered High Low Base.

“I am truly thrilled to take on this new role at RMS,” said Simon when asked about his new position. “I’ve seen in my many years at RMS how the healthcare industry is always evolving rapidly, and I am excited to lead our exceptional team towards providing products that make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. It’s why I got into this trade in the first place.”

In an interview with THIIS last year, Alan Wombell, Director of RMS since 2005, stated that the firm was focused on solidifying its position in the market as well as investing in long-term staff and apprentices.
