Rise & Recline at Naidex

Adjustable seating and bed specialist Rise & Recline recently showcased its new Sherwood and Sherwood Hi-Lo beds to visitors at this year’s Naidex, where its staff also used the event to show their support for World Down Syndrome Day by wearing odd socks.

Nigel Morley, Director, Rise & Recline, commented: “We were delighted with the response we received to our new beds from dealers, end users and healthcare professional and our odd socks also seemed very popular! Naidex always plays a vital role in our annual marketing plan and once again the event proved to be a worthwhile investment for us and was the perfect platform for our latest product launch.

“We also wanted to do our bit to help raise awareness of Down Syndrome. The idea behind odd socks is that it can help start a conversation about Down Syndrome and that was certainly the case on our stand at Naidex with numerous people commenting on them. It was refreshing that a significant number of those people already knew about the campaign which proves that it is having a positive effect.”

Launched in September 2022, the Sherwood 3x 66” single electric bed is a stock item to assist with improved delivery times and has been developed to offer dealers and their customers a single adjustable care bed that will blend well into a domestic environment. With a five-part, four movement adjustable bed action, the Sherwood can be easily adjusted using the integrated six button handset to meet the needs of the individual while the raised sides ensure the mattress will not slip if used with moving and handling equipment. To further accommodate transferring, there is the option of a hoist access beneath the bed at no additional cost. Luxury padded sides has been specifically designed for carers to ensure their comfort when assisting the user by protecting their shins and knees.

The Sherwood Hi-Lo has a maximum weight capacity of 35 stone compared to the standard Sherwood capacity of 25 stone making it more suitable for people looking for a heavy duty or bariatric care bed. In addition to the main features of the Sherwood, the Sherwood Hi-Lo has a range of accessories including telescopic side rails, bed light, telescopic grab handle and trapeze bar.

Long Eaton-based Rise & Recline recently announced the appointment of Edward Morley to the position of Area Sales Manager for the East Coast of England.
