Consisting of a high strength aluminum chassis, a 350-watt motor and 48-volt battery, the Eco Assist offers a cost-effective solution for wheelchair users looking for an entry level power add-on to increase their independence.

Weighing 15.5kg with the battery and just 9.4kg without, the Eco Assist is easy to transport and manually clamps onto the frame of the wheelchair and disconnects with ease in one simple movement. Easy to manoeuvre, it is ideal for use in urban areas such as the high street or shopping centres.

The PAWS range include three models in the PAWS range, the City, Cruiser and Tourer. The entry-level City is available with a 12” or 14” wheel, and has been designed mainly for use around town with the 12” wheel ideal for smooth tarmac roads while the larger 14” wheel can handle slightly more uneven surfaces.

With a larger 16” wheel , the mid-range Cruiser has been designed for wheelchair users looking for a power add-on to enable them to venture off standard road surfaces and onto more uneven terrain such as a forest trail.

The Tourer is the top of the range model and can take the wheelchair users across terrain which would normally be inaccessible. It comes with a 20” wheel, 4” fat tyres and longer wheelbase for increased clearance and manoeuvrability, the Tourer is equally at home on tarmac or in a true off-road environment.

The Big Event will also be heading to Exeter (28-29 June), Harrogate (9-10 September) and Edinburgh (13-14 September) this year.
