At the upcoming Posture and Mobility Group (PMG) Conference, the event’s official sponsor Etac R82 will be joint exhibiting alongside its charity partner Newlife to raise both awareness of mobility solutions and vital services.

Aiming to engage with PMG’s audience of OTs, physiotherapists, rehabilitation engineers and clinical scientists, Etac R82 will showcase key products from its extensive mobility and seating ranges, alongside educational content delivered by its in-house OT expert.

The company will also be supported by representation from Newlife, the disabled children’s charity, as the national organisation highlights its rapid response equipment loan service and grant scheme.

Mobility solutions taking centre stage

Bringing a selection of products to exhibit, the company has confirmed it will promote its Convaid EZ Rider, Cruiser and Rodeo buggies; R82 Stingray and Cricket buggy; as well as its Kudu paediatric wheelchair. Additionally, it will be raising awareness of its x:panda dynamic seating system alongside its adult Cross 5 and Prio wheelchairs.

In addition to its mobility solutions, Etac R82 will also be publicising its pressure management and seating stability capabilities with its specialist air-cell Star range, supported by live pressure mapping demonstrations.

An educational boost

In conjunction with raising product awareness, Etac R82 says it will continue its CPD focus, with resident OT and Education Manager Jo McConnell delivering a breakout session presentation entitled: ‘Ability Based Seating – Bridging the gap between medium active and multi-functional wheelchairs’ on Wednesday 17th at 14.15.

According to Etac R82, there will also be informal educational sessions available on the Etac stand from Jo and Marika Tornqvist, Etac Global Product Manager for Manual Wheelchairs, discussing optimising pressure management, evidence-based results and cost-effective product prescribing, along with pressure mapping on the stand.

Jo will also be presenting Star Air Cell Cushions for the ‘Pitch your Product!’ session at 11:30 on Tuesday 16th.

Championing charity services

With Etac R82 currently supplying products to enable Newlife to deliver its Emergency Equipment Loan Service, the charity will use the event as an opportunity to educate attendees about the service.

Currently, the charity operates the UK’s only rapid response equipment loan service, helping to ensure children at significant risk of injury or in urgent need because of their shortened life expectancy can receive specialist equipment free of charge commonly within 72 hours.

In addition, Newlife will inform delegates about its ability to potential fund equipment through its grant scheme, so disabled children can benefit from greater ability and comfort in life.

Open from 8am daily, PMG Conference will take place on the 16–17 July 2019, Telford International Centre, St Quentin Gate, Telford TF3 4JH.

Etac R82 can be found on stand 15.
