Precision Rehab new team members at OT Show

Specialist powerchair distributor and retailer Precision Rehab has appointed two new experienced members to its growing team, expanding its coverage across England and Scotland.

Mike Booker has joined as a Product Specialist, covering an area from the north of Birmingham up into Scotland, whilst Zoli Bodnar has been appointed to the role of Service Manager covering the south of England primarily.

Prior to joining Precision Rehab, Mike worked for Midshires, along with another wheelchair supplier, during which time he was employed in several service engineer and assessment roles. This involved working closely with clients and occupational therapists which enabled Mike to gain an in-depth knowledge of creating bespoke powerchair solutions, often with specialist controls.

“I am delighted to have joined the Precision Rehab team,” commented Mike.

“The range of solutions we offer is fantastic and I am looking forward to helping people regain their independence through our comprehensive range of powerchairs.”

Bringing three decades of industry experience to Precision Rehab, Zoli joins the expanding mobility company having spent the last two years working for custom seating specialist Contour886. Previously to joining them, he spent 28 years working as an Engineer and Assistive Technologist at Treloar School and College – a specialist unit for students with disabilities, many of whom used powerchairs.

“From my time at Treloar School & College and Contour886, I have been very aware of the Precision Rehab range and Matt’s knowledge and experience and the superb way he treats every client so when the chance arose to join the team, I decided it was too good an opportunity to miss” explained Zoli.

To accommodate this expansion, the company has also opened a new service office and a warehouse facility in Hampshire and workshop in Stafford.

“These are exciting times here at Precision Rehab with the launch of several new powerchairs and we are delighted to welcome Mike and Zoli to the team,” commented Matthew James, Director of Precision Rehab.

“Both bring with them a vast range of knowledge and experience which I know will hugely benefit the clients and OT’s we work with on a daily basis.

“Over the years, we have built a reputation for excellent levels of aftersales service and customer care which is extremely important to us as a business. These appointments combined with our new facilities opening in Hampshire and Stafford will help ensure we can maintain these standards.”

An industry veteran with 20 years’ experience under his belt, working with both the Balder and Etac range of powerchairs, Matt decided to set up Precision Rehab in 2015 after those ranges left the market.

Highlighting that there was a gap in the specialist powerchair market in the UK, James’ told THIIS at the time that the focus of the new company would be on providing a high standard of assessment, sales process and aftersales care, including service and repair coverage.

Supplying the Paravan range on both a direct sales basis and through authorised dealers, the company has gone from strength-to-strength, introducing new products and working with different suppliers.

Most recently, the company introduced two new powerchairs to its range, the Paravan PR40 and Paravan PR25, which it showcased at this year’s OT Show.
