Bespoke powerchair specialist Precision Rehab will be aiming to turn occupational therapists’ heads and grab their attention at this year’s OT Show with two models at the upcoming OT event.

The specialist powerchair retailer and distributor which sells through both a direct-to-market channel and across an established dealer network will be showcasing the new Paravan PR40 and Paravan PR25 powerchairs to healthcare professionals.

“The OT Show is the perfect event for us to launch these two fantastic new powerchairs,” commented Matthew James, Director, Precision Rehab.

“We work with OT’s on a daily basis and they play a vital role in the assessment and selection of many of the powerchairs we supply, so to have the opportunity to engage with so many OT’s from across the UK over two days in a relaxed friendly environment is great for us.”

The Paravan PR40 powerchair combines the specification and multi-function options of the PR50 and Biolution models to take powerchair technology to the next level says the company.

Boasting an electric tilt of 45-degrees backwards and up to 20-degrees forwards, as well as standing and lying positions fitted as standard, the PR40 also includes a redesigned adaptive seat shell system.

According to the powerchair specialist, the PR40 is easy to manoeuvre thanks to its width of 64cm and features innovative R-net controls with seat memory positions as standard, alongside a maximum user weight of 140kg.

In addition, Precision Rehab confirms that additional control systems are available, depending on the requirements of the client.

Based on the PR40’s compact chassis, the Paravan PR25 powerchair uses automatic stabiliser wheels to enable the seat system to be powered from a normal seat height to floor position, with the function enabling children and smaller adults to access the chair from ground level.

The base width is the same as the PR40 and comes with a choice of two additional functions of Tilt in space and seat lift, as well as R-net controls and two maximum user weights of 60kg and 120kg.

With over 25 years’ experience in the assessment, sales & servicing of specialist powered wheelchairs, Precision Rehab is run by Matthew James and his wife Emma.

The company says it will be showcasing several other models from its portfolio with its new PR25 and PR40 chairs.

Precision Rehab will be exhibiting on Stand F21 at The OT Show, taking place on the 27th and 28th of November at Birmingham’s NEC.
