Jiraffe re-launches five-day despatch lead time for Jenx and Rifton postural support products
Products distributed by postural support specialists Jenx and Rifton will now be despatched within a five-day timeframe, according to Jiraffe, the UK distribution division for the two firms.
Jiraffe states that it can fulfil the quick turnaround as most of its products are fully stocked and it does not operate on a ‘build to order’ basis.
Sheffield-based Jenx has been manufacturing life-changing equipment for disabled children for more than 40 years, while New York-based Rifton has been manufacturing adaptive equipment since 1977.
Jenx and Rifton formed a strong partnership more than 18 years ago with Jiraffe being the sole supplier of Rifton products in the UK (excluding Ireland). Since the partnership was established in 2005, it has helped change the lives of thousands of children around the world.
As well as the return of the five-day despatch, in response to a rising product demand, Jiraffe and Jenx has successfully expanded its premises on Herries Road in Sheffield and has increased their staff force by 25 per cent and made several internal promotions.
Holly Jenkins, Director of Jiraffe, said: “Ever since we launched Jiraffe back in 2014, our five-day despatch has been our flagship offer to the market, so we are delighted it has returned. It is grounded in our values that we don’t only provide the best possible products and customer service, but that we can get our products out to those who urgently need them as soon as we possibly can.
“It’s brilliant that we’ve been able to expand and provide our products for more children who so desperately need them, but unfortunately as our expansion happened so quickly, it meant we were unable to upscale at the same rate, so our lead times fell behind. It has always been our top priority to get back to our five-day despatch as soon as we possibly could, and we are now pleased to announce that we are in the position again to offer the market’s shortest lead time.”
Holly extends her thanks to the team for their hard work in ensuring the business can again offer the five-day despatch as standard on all their stocked products. She said: “It is a testament to the hard work of all our teams that we can fulfil our five-day despatch promise for our customers.
“From increasing factory size, to installing new machinery, to introducing new staffing structures, to implementing a brand-new IT system across the business, a lot of hard work has gone into upscaling to ensure demand is met. When Jiraffe was set up nearly ten years ago we wanted the quick turnaround as standard as we always have the child’s best interest at heart.
“We know that by the time they receive the product, they have already waited a long time. Our products are not luxury items – they are completely life-changing, so it is essential to provide a quick turnaround.”
Jiraffe’s team of product advisors are available to arrange a no-obligation product assessment or demonstration.
