John Whitaker Lifestyle Mobility

Lifestyle & Mobility is continuing to expand its operations and workforce with the appointment of industry veteran John Whitaker, joining the company as a Field Engineer.

Having previously worked with Millbrook Healthcare/Beard Brothers for the past 15 years, John is no stranger to mobility scooters and wheelchairs and will now use his experience to oversee service and maintenance contracts for Lifestyle and Mobility’s business-to-business clients.

Founded in 2002 by Ron Sverdloff, the family-run mobility retailer has achieved impressive growth over the years, now operating multiple sites across Essex and Hertfordshire.

Working with a variety of customer groups, the company recently enjoyed its best trading year to date in 2018 and has plans to continue its expansion with a new flagship store.

John, 55 from Cheltenham, will also be responsible for looking after the mobility dealer’s Motability fleet, as well as carrying out and managing general repairs and services for end-users.

John commented: “I love working and being part of the team at Lifestyle & Mobility and my aim is to do the best I can for my customers & clients, resolving problems ASAP so they can become mobile again.”

Prior to joining the mobility industry, he has been involved in a variety of different industries, from golf course maintenance to equipment sales in the USA.

Outside of work, John says he is a big football fan and amateur fan of many sports, as well as loves walking his dog on long sandy beaches.

“I also try to enjoy life as much as possible as we don’t get that long on planet earth!” he finished.
