wheelAIR hits the English open road in search of mobility dealers and healthcare professionals
Following weeks of global travel introducing her unique cooling backrest cushion to new markets, wheelAIR’s Corien Staels is travelling across England this week to showcase the mobility innovation to dealers up and down the country.
Designed to reduce a user’s core temperature by taking away excess heat and moisture, the wheelAIR uses inbuilt fan technology to cool wheelchair users’ back, providing comfort, as well as enabling better posture by offering enhanced ventilation for those in custom moulded seating.
Successfully bringing her unique cooling cushion to the market in 2017, wheelAIR’s founder and CEO Corien Staels has continued to engage the mobility market, with the award-winning start-up going from strength to strength.
In July 2018, the company featured in THIIS’ More About… feature, with the entrepreneur candidly discussing the challenges of a start-up with a brand-new innovation.
Crowned a winner of the AccelerateHER Awards 2019 in May, Corien has since been busy visiting a number of new markets, including a tour of Australia where she visited Brisbane and Sydney to support its Australian distributor and engage with healthcare professionals down under.
Highlighting the value of the trip, Corien said: “Training their staff and retail stores has shown me the importance of having in-depth training session with all our resellers, so there will be a lot more of that. Bring on the travel!”
Now she is travelling across different regions of England with her wheelAIR and is keen to meet dealers and healthcare professionals to offer advice and give a demonstration of her mobility innovation.
The wheelAIR roadtrip will take place from Tuesday 13th and continue through to Friday 16th and to arrange a meeting, contact info@wheelair.co.uk
