VIDEO: Silvalea launches patented seating system to treat and prevent pressure sores
Accessibility manufacturer Silvalea has announced a new seating system to help with the treatment and prevention of pressure issues for users who require long-term seating.
The Air Comfort Deluxe V2 Chair is a patented Airgonomic Seating System with a pressure redistribution design offering full patient comfort. The seating surface has no seams or gaps, making it easy to wipe clean, repair and maintain.
Exclusive to its customers throughout Europe, the product will be the first of many products to be introduced to its new product range, Silva Care.
Designed to be easy to manoeuvre with a foam grip and ergonomic handles, the chair comes with a removable and adjustable headrest cushion for optimum positioning. Fully adjustable wings, as well as drop-down arm sections allow for easy side transfers.
The chair can facilitate a tilt-in-space position with its adjustable back and lower sections. It also has three locking castors with the addition of a locking directional castor for in-line travel.
Optional extras include fully-adjustable foot rests, a meal/activity tray and adjustable lap belt.

The product will be available throughout the UK and Europe either via fully trained distributors or by Silvalea’s in-house chair assessor and Business Development Manager, Andy Blewitt.
