The Purple Tuesday Global Virtual Conference 2022 will see industry experts, Purple Tuesday sector partners, disabled leaders and ambassadors come together to share and discuss actionable insights to improve the disabled customer experience across business areas.

Mobility, access, and independent living companies will have the chance to learn about how they can make their businesses more accessible and inclusive for disabled customers.

Some of the advice that will be shared at the virtual conference includes what an accessible customer experience looks like, how to do inclusive marketing, and some of the global innovation trends, making it a compelling conference for sector leaders to attend.

Purple Tuesday is a global social movement and brand for improving the customer experience for disabled people and their families, it involves organisations of all sizes, from all sectors taking decisive, practical actions to meet the needs of disabled customers. The initiative began in 2018 and is celebrated each year on the first Tuesday in November.

The conference, taking place on Tuesday 11 October, is set to inspire the leadership and staff of organisations across all sectors and sizes to promote awareness, develop understanding, and implement solutions for better accessibility in their customer environments, from 9.30am-8pm.

Participating organisations make public commitments and a minimum of one new activity or initiative each year that improves their accessibility and practice so that disabled customers have a better, more inclusive experience.

The first talk, ‘Social Leadership in Disability: getting started with inclusion and accessibility’, will take place from 9.30am-10.30am.

Secondly, ‘What is an Accessible Customer Experience?’, occurs from 11am-12pm.

Transpiring from 1pm-2pm, ‘Global Tech Trends, Practice and Innovations’ will prove a compelling session for mobility firms.

At 2.30pm-3.15pm, ‘Time for a Cuppa with Mike Adams and Charlene Overend’, will give attendees the opportunity to ask the founder and CEO of Purple Tuesday, Mike Adams, and Charlene Overend, Head of Business Partnerships, anything about Purple Tuesday and disability inclusion.

From 4pm-5pm, attendees will have to opportunity to attend ‘How to Support Customers with Hidden Disabilities’.

At 5.30pm-6.30pm, a session just for Purple Tuesday Partners will have the opportunity to network at ‘Its 5 O’clock Somewhere’.

The final session, ‘Disability Inclusive Marketing and Communications’, will run from 7pm-8pm.

The informative and practical day is free to attend. Purple Tuesday will announce further speakers over the coming weeks.

2019’s Purple Tuesday initiative saw over 2,500 companies participate, committing to improving their customer experience for disabled people.
