Telecare activity continues as Alcuris and Radius Connect24 agree new partnership
Assistive technology specialist Alcuris and Irish technology-enabled care (TEC) provider Radius Connect24 have confirmed a new partnership agreement to roll out Alcuris’s telecare suite to families in Ireland.
The partnership will see the two organisations work together using Alcuris’s Memo Hub suite, which the company says shifts the traditional reactive alarm focus to one that is proactive, preventative, data-driven to deliver better outcomes for users and their families.
An initial order for 100 families has been placed and once the service is up and running the numbers are expected to grow, according to the organisations.
“We are delighted to be working with a major telecare provider and pleased they have recognised the innovative nature of our services,” commented Alex Nash, CEO of Alcuris.
“We share a common agenda with Radius to prolong independence for users, provide positive reassurance for family and insight for providers and commissioners.”
Focusing on prevention and expanding users’ circle of care, Alcuris says its Memo Hub suite can help people remain independent and reduce demand for formal health and social care.
Kevin McSorley Head of Radius Connect24, said: “I am excited about the new service that we can now provide. Families are increasingly looking for solutions to support family members remain at independent at home. The Memo Hub is the most advanced hub in the market and has been designed from the outset for consumers, both in terms of looks and in user experience. There are thousands of families who could benefit from this new service.”
Providing TEC services throughout Ireland, Radius Conntect24 boasts 21,000 users throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, working with health professionals, housing providers and private customers.
The agreement comes as the TEC market continues to see a flurry of activity, including Local Authorities trialling Amazon’s Echo devices, Medequip’s recent launch of its Connect service and Doro’s acquisition Centra Pulse & Connect.
