Stiltz take to the stage to engage OTs with enablement seminar at upcoming OTAC
At the Occupational Therapy Adaptations Conference (OTAC) Midlands this January, Stiltz will present an enhanced CPD-accredited seminar regarding independent mobility in the community through homelift ownership.
The educational ‘How a homelift can facilitate in-home enablement’ seminar will be delivered Gino Farruggio, Trade Sales Director for Stiltz, and aimed at healthcare and housing professionals, discussing how modern domestic homelifts enable client independence and wellbeing.
In addition, the presentation will examine the assessment process from a clinical point of view, alongside transfers and how specific wheelchairs facilitate greater manoeuvrability.
According to the West Midlands-based homelift manufacturer, evidence-based material will highlight the practical and emotional benefits of a homelift compared to a stairlift, with a particular focus on safety and confidence.
In addition, the company will emphasise potential cost savings to the NHS, personal budgets and social services to provide delegates with a holistic view of how clients can enhance their own care, as well as the advantages of future-proofing.
The company will also reference customer stories and case studies to demonstrate how users with varying conditions can make use of a homelift to transfer within the home.
Complementing the seminar, Stiltz will also be available on stand 13 to discuss appropriate homelift provision, providing free educational and signposting information including guidance on achieving successful DFG applications.
The OT engagement strategy follows a successful year for the company which saw it win multiple awards for its growing export operations.
