Precision Rehab New Live
Bespoke powerchair solutions provider Precision Rehab has signed an agreement to be the exclusive supplier of New Live powerchairs for the UK and Ireland.

As part of its continued growth, Precision Rehab will supply the New Live Magic 2 powerchairs on a direct sales basis. The New Live will be supported with assessments, sales processes and after-sales care – including service and repair coverage.

Matt James, Director Precision Rehab, commented exclusively to THIIS: “The New Live range is a great addition to our growing powerchair portfolio and is unlike anything we currently have to offer. Over recent years, we have been following the progress and developments at New Live and have always been extremely impressed with the unique capabilities of the product.

“The manoeuvrability is excellent with a chassis width of just 58cm, and the unique six-wheel drive system makes it unrivalled oversteps and ensures kerbs up to 15cm high can be easily overcome. The New Live is equally at home on flat level surfaces or rough and uneven terrain.Precision Rehab New Live

“We are always looking for innovative and specialist products that will complement our existing product range to benefit our clients and therefore only work with manufacturers we can trust.

“After a recent factory visit and discussions with the team at New Live, I knew the powerchairs would fit perfectly within our portfolio and we are looking forward to working with New Live to bring them to the UK.”

Precision Rehab has ordered a demonstration model with the aim of officially launching New Live into the UK market at Naidex (22nd – 23rd March) on stand D40. “We are very excited about showcasing this great new addition to our powerchair portfolio to individual clients, healthcare professionals and the trade at the show,” continued Matt.

“We have been looking for a partner to represent us in the UK and Ireland for some time. As soon as we had discussions with Matt and learned about his industry experience and that of his colleagues, we knew Precision Rehab was the right business partner for New Live to help develop the marketplace in the UK and Ireland.

Michel Ohruh, President of New Live, commented: “Everyone at New Live is very excited about this latest stage in our development and believe Matt and the Precision Rehab team will help take us to the next level in these important territories.”

The New Live Magic 2 powerchair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its ultra-compact size and innovative six-wheel drive system allow it to go to places that are considered inaccessible for most wheelchairs and powerchairs and can easily climb smoothly over kerbs and steps up to 15cm.

It is available with powered seat functions including seat lift (40-80cm), back recline (90/160 degrees), tilt in space (-37/+10 degrees), as well as power elevating and compensating leg rest (single or individual) with footplate to floor system. The Magic 2 comes with a comfortable standard seating system but can easily be fitted with aftermarket seating including V-Track for all postural requirements.

Precision Rehab was founded by Matt James and his wife Emma over seven years ago. Building on over 30 years’ experience of the powerchair market Matt has overseen the controlled growth of the company to its position today as one of the leading suppliers of bespoke powerchairs in the UK.

Other powerchair brands currently available in the UK from Precision Rehab include Paravan, Dietz, Eurovema, NHD, TrackMaster and Sunrise Medical. The firm won the coveted ‘Best in Show’ award with its PR35 S power chair at last year’s Naidex, the flagship event for the disability community held at Birmingham’s NEC.
