Lith-Tech targets larger end users with the Smart Chair XL folding electric wheelchair
Folding wheelchair brand, Lith-Tech, have released the Smart Chair XL; a chair that features lithium batteries with a range of 16 miles, and takes only 5-6 hours to fully charge from having 10 per cent power remaining.
The smart chair XL is designed to give larger users the freedom of carefree and easy indoor and out use, while excelling in almost any scenario thrown at it.
Designed with the larger individual in mind, the chair measures 53cm between armrests and is supported by an aluminium alloy frame that results in a strong but light wheelchair that can take up to 160kg (25 stone) of weight.
To add a touch of luxury, the Smart Chair XL also comes fitted with the new contoured ergonomic style cushion which provides incredible comfort and extra support.
A natural upgrade from the SC-1 XL folding electric wheelchair, the chair boasts electromagnetic brakes for instant stopping irrespective of whether the chair is stationary on inclines or declines. This is supported by 12.5” wheels and industry leading solid rubber tyres to absorb bumps, tackle curbs and handle multiple terrain types with ease.
The chair includes a 2x6AH battery combo as standard so that users who like to travel can go on any airline worldwide. The product both folds and unfolds in just two seconds, and can fit easily under a table for eating, drinking, or working. This feature gives the user many more options for getting in and out of the chair.
As with all the folding wheelchairs from this Surrey-based electric folding wheelchair brand, the product folds from 985mm x 620mm x 1060mm all the way down to 620mm x 300mm x 820mm.
Toby St George, Director at Lith-Tech, exclusively told THIIS: “Designing chairs that are inclusive of people from all walks of life is a top priority for us at Lith-Tech.
“That’s why the Smart Chair XL puts an emphasis on added space and comfort and includes a contoured more ergonomic style cushion, as well as offering a new anti-theft locking battery pack system so you know your expensive batteries will always be safe in your chair, wherever you go.”
This latest release comes after Lith-Tech recently launched its new entry level Smart Chair 3, a folding wheelchair that aims to be more affordable to customers without sacrificing on quality.
