2024 marks 40 successful years in business for Electric Mobility. The company has come a long way from starting in Bracknell in 1984 with the introduction of its mobility products to the UK.

From the first adult ‘electric mobility vehicles’ in the 80s, the company has grown significantly in scope and scale.

Initially a direct sales business, Electric Mobility quickly realised the role and importance of local dealers and shifted its entire business to supporting dealers, some of who have been key business partners throughout our history.

This partnership with local dealers is core to the company’s DNA and why it has no intention of opening retail stores, direct to consumer websites or competing with dealers in any way.

Looking after dealers and consumers is the key to building a successful business and hence Electric Mobility’s focus on parts and service at the core of its offering.

The parts and service team together have over 75 years of successfully supporting dealers and it is this dedication to service that helps set the company apart.

Mike Flowers, Chairman of Electric Mobility, commented: “This is an extraordinary achievement that demonstrates the strength of Electric Mobility, its industry reputation and the incomparable service we provide to our dealers.

“It is also a reflection of the expertise, loyalty and commitment of all our employees. Our people are our greatest assets and the cornerstone – without their hard work and dedication, achievements such as this wouldn’t be possible. I would like to say a massive thank you to all our employees and our loyal dealers too.”

The Rascal and Cosi-Chair brands have become symbolic within the industry. They are top-quality products that deliver on their promises, underpinned by the company’s integrity, and commitment to always “doing things right” for its dealers and consumers.

Product innovation has been and remains at the heart of EMOB, the most recent of which includes the LiFe battery range of smaller and lightweight scooters. The unique chemistry of the LiFe battery is the only Lithium Battery technology which does not have the inherent risk of “Thermal Runaway” and fire.

All Rascal LiFe equipped scooters now include a lifetime guarantee on the battery, another first from pioneering Electric Mobility! This guarantee is now available on the lightweight aluminium VelumiLi and Vierra as well as the Veo Sport LiFe scooters.

Innovation, quality and comfort extend across to the Cosi range with recent introductions include a three model range of Quad Motor chairs, providing dealers with a ‘good, better, best’ offering that is unique in the industry as well as the brand new Cosi Beds.

Jonathan Hearth, Managing Director of Electric Mobility, added: “As we look forward to the next 40 years sustainability is going to become ever more important to our consumers and the LiFe battery is a good example of the company’s approach.

“It is the only battery technology which can be fully recycled without the residual and dangerous heavy metals found in all other versions.

“One of Electric Mobility’s main priorities is to become more sustainable, helping to build a future in which the company, its employees and its Dealers and their customers can all thrive.

“The next 40 years look set to be just as exciting as the first for Electric Mobility. With a strong focus on its customers, staff and sustainability, there is no limit to what the company can achieve.”
