Julian Daw, DLF’s partnerships manager for Wales and South West England, will be advising suppliers in the mobility and access sector about how they can reach thousands more end-users every month with free product listings at the inaugural RISE @ THIIS trade show next month.

His presentation, ‘Introducing a new accreditation scheme for suppliers of AT: DLF’s Trusted Assessor scheme aligns to the national qualification recognised and used UK-wide‘, will give attendees a chance to find out more about the new Trusted Assessor supplier scheme from DLF. The session will take place at 3.30pm on 10 May 2022 at the Doubletree at Hilton, MK Stadium, Milton Keynes.

The 30-minute conference will be relevant to suppliers of equipment and aids that are interested in reaching more people and looking for new ways of advising customers and prescribers on suitable solutions.

Julian will provide a brief review of the Living Made Easy and DLF for Professionals programme; information about being listed on Living Made Easy and DLF ProAssist; using its new vendor portal; advertising and sponsorship options; and details on how to become a Trusted Assessor organisation.

A key focus in the talk at RISE @ THIIS will be the announcement of a new scheme to accredit suppliers as Trusted Assessors, which is based on the national framework recognised by health, social care and housing providers.

The endorsement will ensure that customers receive advice and assessments in line with the Trusted Assessor model, and will be provided an independent endorsement based on the standard.

In this talk, Julian will further be reviewing the information, advice, and training programmes that the charity runs and explaining how suppliers can get more involved with them.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask Julian questions at the end of the presentation.

Julian’s experience in business development has demonstrated success in the private and non-profit sectors, with further experience in sales, marketing and communications, team management and strategic planning.

Having joined the charity in September 2021 with a strong background in both care provision and products for independent living, Julian is now leading a new programme at DLF that aims to work more closely with suppliers of equipment and aids for independent living.

DLF works to support the wide range of professionals who enable older and disabled people to maintain their independence with impartial information and advice about the wide range of products and suppliers of assistive technology, and tools and training to support the selection and provision of solutions to individuals.

As leaders in the development of the Trusted Assessor framework, DLF sees the way that this role can enable faster provision of solutions to many individuals as part of service delivery, which is why it continues to prioritise development of the programmes in this field.
