Etac R82 prepares to deliver future-proofed hoisting seminar at upcoming Kidz event
Colin Williams, Molift specialist, will be presenting an educational seminar at Kidz to Adultz Middle about future-proofed hoist provision for disabled children.
The seminar, ‘Future-proofed paediatric hoisting’, will be delivered by Colin Williams, Category Sales Manager for Overhead Hoists at assistive product supplier Etac R82, to healthcare professionals, carers and parents.
As there are many scenarios where hoisting children can be challenging, Colin’s practical seminar will explore how effective planning for overhead ceiling track hoists will help meet the long-term needs of a child.
The seminar will look at planning, types of hoist and innovative solutions that maximise functionality. Techniques and processes to minimise disruption during installation will also be discussed.
Attendees will gain a better understanding of the overhead hoist planning process, appreciate different solutions for the same challenge and become more aware of how to plan for the changing needs of a child and their family.

Colin has worked in the healthcare industry for almost 25 years, with a speciality in moving and handling people. A passionate supporter of effective hoisting, he has provided many solutions to Local Authorities for domestic and social care settings. Colin has vast experience of transfer requirements within special education, care homes and acute wards. He is an IOSH approved trainer in “assisting to move people.”
Etac R82 can be visited on stand D1 at Kidz to Adultz Middle, which takes place on the 4th of March in the Ericsson Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
