VIDEO: eFOLDi unveils “the world’s lightest folding mobility scooter” in new promo video
Ahead of its imminent crowdfunding campaign, mobility scooter manufacturer eFOLDi has released a campaign video for its brand-new folding scooter model, the eFOLDi Lite.
Revealing the name of its new folding mobility scooter to the market, the company is promoting the eFOLDi Lite as the “world’s lightest folding mobility scooter” in its promotional video.
According to eFOLDi, the fully-tested lightweight scooter boasts a 15kg carrying weight – the result of an innovative magnesium frame – as well as a foot platform, improved braking and a 120kg weight limit.
Additionally, the company says when the removable rear wheels and battery are detached, the model’s weight drops to around 12kg.
At the beginning of May, the company unveiled plans to launch a new crowdfunding campaign on the funding platform Kickstarter to raise the finance needed to put the new model into mass production.
The upcoming campaign would mark the company’s third time using the tried and tested funding method, having raised over £100,000 on platform Crowdfunder in 2016 and more than £1.1million from over 700 investors on Crowdcube in April 2018.
Alongside raising the finance needed for the tooling and manufacturing preparation needed to manufacture at scale, the crowdfunding campaign will also enable eFOLDi to secure vital pre-orders.
