Classic Canes launches new range of height-adjustable canes in time for Christmas
Walking stick specialist Classic Canes has launched a new collection of patterned, height-adjustable canes that will make perfect gifts for mobility retailers’ customers to stock up on this Christmas.
Created by Classic Canes managing director and designer Charlotte Gillan, there are seven exclusive new designs to suit a range of cane users.
Charlotte enthuses: “Some of our newest canes are quite discreet, traditional designs whilst others are more contemporary and colourful.
“Lavender, Oak Leaves and Snakeshead Fritillaries will co-ordinate with lots of different outfits and have a very classic, British appeal.
“By contrast, Modernist Cosmos, Magic Circles, Surrealist Symbols and Folk Flowers are very exuberant, colourful patterns that really jump out from a webpage and make terrific style statements.”
The walking stick market has changed greatly in recent years, comment Charlotte, with a new generation of walking stick users demanding glamorous and eye-catching canes.
She adds: “The vibe is: if you have to use a cane, why not have fun doing so?! Our canes are also very popular as presents because they are both useful and attractive.
“Having an interesting range of walking sticks is really important for healthcare and mobility shops because it is often the first purchase a new customer will make.
“If the shop can create a good impression with its cane offering, it brings people across the threshold who may later move on to larger purchases, so the canes have a strategic role to play for retailers as well as the sales generated directly from them.”
