Alerta Crash Tested Self Propelled WheelchairMedical equipment manufacturer Alerta Medical has launched a self-propelled wheelchair that has been crash tested.

The Alerta Self-Propelled Wheelchair is described as “the perfect solution” to enabling disabled people to become more independent and live their own lives.

Features of the crash-tested wheelchair include self-propelling rear wheels, detachable arms, padded armrests, lap belt, swing-away and detachable footrests, heel loops and rear brakes, with 60cm rear wheels and 20cm front wheels, all with puncture-proof tyres. The seat of the wheelchair is 40cm deep x 45cm wide. Its maximum user weight is 115kg.
