Access BDD
As part of its ongoing commitment to increased growth in the North American market, UK stairlift manufacturer Access BDD has announced that it will be exhibiting at the forthcoming NAEC (National Association of Elevator Contractors) Conference which is due to take place in Reno, Nevada from 10-13 September 2023.

It is now over a year since Stockton-on-Tees-based Access BDD launched into the North American market. Melissa Davies, Access BDD’s Head of Business Development for North America, commented: “This will be our first time exhibiting at the NAEC conference so we can’t wait to show everyone what Access BDD has to offer. It is now over 18 months since we launched in North America and the response we have received to date has exceeded all our expectations.

“North America is a huge area so events such as NAEC provide us with a fantastic platform to showcase both our Flow X and HomeGlide stairlifts, giving attendees the chance to get hands-on and explore how these products can offer a new, innovative solution to their clientele.

“We also believe this will be the perfect opportunity to foster new partnerships that will be instrumental in our growth in North America.”

At NAEC, Access BDD will be showcasing the recently launched Flow X and HomeGlide stairlifts. The Flow X curved stairlift from Access BDD features advanced swivel and levelling technology (ASL), enabling the stairlift to rotate and swivel during travel, ensuring the stairlift is always in the safest and most comfortable position.

The Flow X offers four rail options, including standard drop nose, vertical ‘short-start’ drop nose, horizontal overrun, and parking curve, and can support a maximum weight of 125kg, fitting on narrow staircases as small as 610mm.

The HomeGlide stairlift, which launched in the UK at The OT Show in November 2022, offers a solution for all straight staircase requirements and comes with seat padding, armrest detection and an emergency stop button as standard. It comes with a generous weight capacity of up to 160kg and can be installed on staircases as narrow as 740mm.
