Flow X by Access BDDOn stand D41 at The OT Show which takes place on November 23rd – 24th at the Birmingham NEC, Access BDD, a UK supplier of stairlifts, home lifts and platform lifts will be exhibiting the recently launched HomeGlide stairlift alongside its market leading Flow X.

It will be the first time the new HomeGlide straight stairlift has been exhibited in the UK following its launch in the summer. There will be working models of both the Flow X and HomeGlide on display for visitors to see and try out for themselves.

Andrew Warbrick, Managing Director of Access BDD, commented: “OT’s play a vital role in specifying a significant number of the stairlifts that are installed by our partners so to have the chance to engage with so many from around the UK at The OT Show is a fantastic opportunity for us as a business. Myself and the rest of the team are looking forward to this event and hearing what OT’s think of the stairlifts we will have on show.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to the OT sector, we are in the process of drawing up plans for a new showroom and demonstration area at our Teesside headquarters where OT’s will be able to see our full range of stairlifts, home lifts and platform lifts.”

The HomeGlide stairlift features a slimline rail which is fitted to the staircase not the wall, which means installation can be completed quickly with minimum disruption to the home. The stairlift is suitable for staircases as narrow as 740mm and can be fitted on the left or right hand side. The newly redesigned ergonomic seat features luxurious padding to ensure a firm and comfortable seat with plenty of support. The HomeGlide model is now available to order with an Extra or Outdoor package, allowing the user to tailor the lift to their needs.

The Extra package features a powered swivel seat and linked footrest for those with limited mobility. With a maximum weight capacity of 160kg this lift is now suitable for more people than ever before. For outdoor environments, the HomeGlide Outdoor package is available with a key lock and has a weatherproof coating to protect against rain, dust and direct sunlight.

Complimenting the HomeGlide will be the Flow X, which was launched last year. The Flow X curved stairlift features Advanced Swivel and Levelling technology (ASL) which enables the stairlift to rotate and swivel during travel, ensuring that the stairlift is always in the safest and most comfortable position. ASL technology allows the footrest to remain independent from the drive unit and swivel with the seat; promote a natural, comfortable seating position and unlike some models, there are no mechanical parts on show. It has a maximum weight capacity of 125kg and can be fitted on staircases as narrow as 610mm.
