Ableworld

Mobility retailer Ableworld is offering a company-wide Share Option Scheme for all of its current employees as a way of rewarding those that help to support and grow the company.

Launched by Mike Williams, Managing Director of Ableworld, the scheme will be offered to all members of staff and will give them the option to potentially benefit from the company’s future growth and profits.

The allocation of shares will come from 10 per cent of Mike’s personally owned shares, as a top-up from the scheme he launched in 2015 where he previously allocated 10 per cent also. Some of the company’s employees will still hold these shares as they remain with the business since the first allocation.

As the company enters its 22nd year of trading, Mike has emphasised that this scheme is in no way a step towards the business being sold, but is in fact the opposite, as he looks to drive the business forward with the help of those who really do go that extra mile for the company.

A spokesperson stated that the announcement of the store’s new Share Option Scheme has been well received by Ableworld members of staff, who see the scheme as a positive and inclusive step forward for the business.

Last month Ableworld announced that it would be expanding its UK store number with a new Mobility and Stairlift superstore in Newbury, Berkshire.  The retailer also recently appointed Senior Manager Tony Leavy to Buying & Marketing Director as it continues its investment in staff and makes opportunities available at all levels.
