Ableworld storeMobility and stairlifts retailer Ableworld has announced the upcoming opening of a new franchise in Leeds after having recorded a strong financial year, marked by substantial growth.

The company has seen substantial progress over the past year with Ableworld stating that it recorded a 12.5 per cent increase in sales for the last financial year.

Three stores, located in Burton, Reading, and Wrexham, have successfully relocated to larger premises, improving accessibility and convenience for customers.

Additionally, a brand new-store was opened in Thatcham, Berkshire, further extending the reach of Ableworld’s top-tier mobility solutions.

Mike Williams, Managing Director of Ableworld, commented: “It’s been an exciting year for Ableworld, marked by significant expansions and investments in our operations.

“We’ve introduced new systems that are nearing completion, strengthening our commitment to delivering exceptional services and products to our valued customers.”

The retailer has also announced its partnership with Andy Gorrie, a new franchisee who will spearheading the launch of the new store in Leeds this Autumn.

Mike adds: “We are thrilled to have Andy Gorrie on board as a part of our Ableworld family. With the opening of the Leeds franchise, we are expanding our footprint and reach even more individuals in need of mobility and stairlift solutions.”

Looking ahead, Ableworld states that it is actively engaging with several potential franchisees with the goal of opening at least two more stores in the next financial year.

This ambitious expansion plan aims to increase the tally of Ableworld group stores to 43 locations, solidifying the company’s position as a nationwide leader in the mobility and stairlift industry.
