The OT Show gets ready to bring the latest mobility equipment to healthcare professionals
More than 6,000 occupational therapists (OTs) looking to learn more about the latest products and services available from mobility equipment suppliers are set to attend The Occupational Therapy Show (The OT Show) at the NEC in Birmingham from 22-23 November 2023.
The show is the largest trade and education event in the UK dedicated to OTs who work directly with elderly and disabled people. Retailers and suppliers will benefit from hosting face-to-face product demonstrations, exhibitor-led training sessions where healthcare professionals’ questions can be answered directly, and the chance to take advantage of networking opportunities.
The 2022 event brought together case managers, specialist occupational therapists, commissioners, consultants, Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) Trainers, service Managers, plus therapy professionals attending Therapy Expo, the show’s co-located event with over 2,500 therapists in attendance.
This year, the OT Show will present the Case Management Roadshow, produced on behalf of the Institute of Registered Case Managers (IRCM). The unique event will give exhibitors opportunity to showcase products and services to a highly targeted audience of occupational therapy professionals and case managers.
Case managers are responsible for overseeing money awarded by the courts to people who have acquired disability through an accident; this includes home adaptations, equipment, rehabilitation, etc. Their additional duties and responsibilities include analysing the physical and mental health needs of a patient and recommending appropriate care and treatment plans to patients or their families.
The Case Management Roadshow, in partnership with the IRCM, will provide exhibitors with a platform to engage with attendees and build lasting relationships with key decisionmakers in the sector. Retailers and suppliers will be able to showcase the latest products and services to an audience that is actively seeking solutions to challenges.
The OT Show says attendees will be eager to learn about new products, industry trends, and best practices in the field of occupational therapy and case management.
BHTA members will be highlighted at the show so that delegates can make informed choices of who they recommend. To discuss requirements, contact Shelley, the Event Director on 0207 013 4661 or at s.williams@closerstillmedia.com, quoting code ‘BHTA,’ before Friday 27 October.
