TGA at The OT Show
The TGA stand won ‘Best in Show’ at the 2022 OT Show.

Occupational therapists visiting the OT Show at the NEC in Birmingham last week were able to see and talk about TGA products for the first time on a stand which won ‘Best in Show’.

Debuting at the exhibition, TGA demonstrated its award-winning StrongBack manual wheelchairs, WHILL powerchairs, mobility scooters and wheelchair powerpacks. The team also launched the new folding WHILL F and TGA adjustable chair range alongside the recently introduced Scoozy scooter-powerchair hybrid.

Occupational therapists were able to discuss the merits of these products in relation to their clients who were looking for enablement at home and outdoors. Visitors were able to trial and test drive products on the stand which was awarded number one for design by the show organisers.

TGA also talked about its service at the show. They explained how TGA assesses clients in their homes, so the right product is supplied for individual mobility needs. Each TGA assessor regularly works with OTs so that clinical requirements are combined with lifestyle preferences – resulting in the perfect solution for safe and enjoyable independence. This understanding of client conditions is reinforced by TGA’s partnership with Parkinson’s UK and the MS Society.

Daniel Stone, Managing Director of TGA, demonstrated at the show and said: “We were delighted to win the award for ‘best stand design’ especially as it was our debut.

“The team found the show insightful and we hope the professionals we spoke to now have a clearer picture of our products and what we stand for. We are a business that aims to help end users, and those OTs supporting them, with quality products and straightforward service that ensures the best outcome for all.”

Ailsa Reston, OT and co-owner of RKS Occupational Therapist Services, prescribes TGA products. She added: “The TGA WHILL powerchair is a quality product that is ideal for semi-ambulant users who value product style and usability. It resolves many barriers to independence through design that is viewed positively resulting in greater inclusion within society.”

TGA Mobility, which launched its WHILL F powerchair and Zest S mobility scooter at Naidex earlier in the year, has been a provider of mobility scooters and wheelchairs for over 30 years. It is proud to enable more people through its partnership with leading organisations such as Parkinson’s UK, Northern Rail and Lake District National Park.
