Staffordshire Mobility relocation leads to more showroom space, more stock and more customers
An independent mobility retailer run by a husband and wife team is reaping the rewards of its decision to relocate to a new, spacious retail premises in the West Midlands.
Formerly situated on Hanley Market, the owners Jimmy and Yanny Lee decided the time was right to invest in their own bricks and mortar base in a more prominent town centre location in April 2019 and has recently hosted an open day after having now settled into the new space.
The married couple decided to enter the mobility sector nine years ago, with Jimmy quitting his job at a restaurant and Yanny having an understanding of the market having previously worked as a buyer for Age UK.
Speaking to the Stoke Sentinel, Jimmy emphasised that the new store provides the company with greater space to both stock and display more mobility aids and products, as well as enabling Staffordshire Mobility to consider expanding into home adaptations as well.
Jimmy told the Stoke Sentinel: “Upstairs is currently a stock room but in the future I would like to get a lift installed and extend the showroom to upstairs.”
He also stated the spacious new retail space is already enjoying increased footfall as well.
“Before people would say they didn’t know we were there, but here we can be seen. I’ve already had a lot of new customers,” he continued.
Yanny told the local news outlet: “We’re really excited about the shop. We are very visible here and parking is much better.
“We’ve never had our own shop before and we’ve had a number of new customers coming in – it’s opened up a whole new horizon for us.”
Officially cutting the ribbon on the new store was Gareth Snell, MP for Stoke-on-Trent Central, with the ceremony seeing a number of the company’s regular customers attend, including Stoke-on-Trent’s former Lord Mayor Terry Crowe.
The new store location is 55-57 Upper Huntbach Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST1 2BXhttps://thiis.co.uk/staffordshire-mobility-relocation-leads-to-more-showroom-space-more-stock-and-more-customers/https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/staffordshire-mobility.jpg?fit=1000%2C682&ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/staffordshire-mobility.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1NewsroomRetailer NewsGareth Snell,Hanley,Hanley Market,Jimmy Lee,Mobility aids, mobility equipment, mobility products, mobility retailer,Staffordshire Mobility,Stoke-on-Trent,Terry Crowe,Yanny LeeAn independent mobility retailer run by a husband and wife team is reaping the rewards of its decision to relocate to a new, spacious retail premises in the West Midlands.Formerly situated on Hanley Market, the owners Jimmy and Yanny Lee decided the time was right to invest in their...Calvin BarnettCalvin Barnettcalvin@thiis.co.ukAdministratorTHIIS Magazine
