Staff at Thistle Help are supporting Kiltwalk 2024

Staff at Scottish mobility retailer Thistle Help are getting set to conquer the Glasgow Kiltwalk in aid of Crosshouse Children’s Fund, a charity which aims to raise vital funds for children and young patients being cared for in hospital.

The 14-mile walk, which has been dubbed ‘The Big Stroll’, takes place in Glasgow on 28 April 2024. Starting from Clydebank, the walk finishes in Balloch, Loch Lomond.

Each year more than 25,000 babies, children and young people from across Ayrshire require treatment in hospital. With the help of communities in Ayrshire & Arran, Crosshouse Children’s Fund raises funds to provide vital equipment, research and support for young patients and their families.

Laura Hays, Director at Thistle Help, said: “Team Thistle are delighted to be taking part in this year’s The Kiltwalk to raise money for Crosshouse Children’s Fund.’

“Many of our team have young children and can’t imagine what it must be like to have poorly children in hospital, going through operations and treatment.’

“We hope to raise a lot of money for this amazing organisation to allow them to continue providing vital support to children and their families.”

The Glasgow Kiltwalk is one of four fundraising walking events in Scotland which aim to raise much-needed funds for Scottish charities and projects in 2024.  Other Kiltwalk events take place in Aberdeen (2 June), Dundee (11 August) and Edinburgh (15 September). ‘The Big Stroll’ is one of three walks taking place in Glasgow, alongside the Mighty Stride (23 miles) and Wee Wander (3 miles).
