Accessible bathroom and kitchen solutions supplier Ropox has reported another successful OT Show, with examples from its portfolio of accessible bathroom equipment on show including the Ropox Bathtub, SwingLine and QuickWash wash basins and its range of changing/shower beds.

Mark Sadler, Sales Manager at Ropox, comments: “The OT Show is one of the main events in our exhibitions calendar as it enables us to engage with a huge number of OTs from around the UK and showcase our product portfolio.

“Once again, all our products proved extremely popular with visitors to our stand but our Bathtub without doubt generated the most interest as it offers a very cost-effective solution for people who are unable to shower.

“With an RRP of under £5,000, the Bathtub could be the perfect budget-friendly alternative to other bath suppliers. Several OT’s commented that the saving when compared to other manufacturers would enable them to make far greater use of their budgets and therefore potentially look at additional equipment for their client”.

The height of the Ropox bathtub can be adjusted from 610mm to 910mm using an electrical control, which enables the user to be comfortably transferred from the bath to a changing bench and reduces the need for manual handling. Available in three sizes; 1,600mm, 1700mm and 1,800mm, all with a depth of 400mm, the bathtub is suitable for children and adults.

The unique ergonomic design of the height adjustable SwingLine wash basin from Ropox ensures it will fit in even the smallest of rooms, proving popular with OT’s at the show who are often working in confined spaces. To allow people with reduced mobility to position the wash basin in front of the toilet, so they can wash their hands, while seated as opposed to having to move across the room to reach a basin the SwingLine features a 180˚ swing function.

The SwingLine Wash Basin is available with or without manual height adjustment and depending on the model, the range of adjustment is 150mm for models without a dock-in and 200mm for models with the dock-in. This allows the user or their carer to set the height at the optimum level and the rotation and swing of the basin is not affected by which model is installed.

As with all Ropox equipment, the Swing Wash Basin has been designed to look equally at home in a domestic or care setting, while still meeting the needs of the individual and their carer.

The height-adjustable QuickWash basin comes forward from the wall, meaning the user does not have to bend or reach from their wheelchair, which can cause a negative effect on their posture.

Recently, Ropox reported a hugely successful Naidex 2022 with its range of accessible bathroom equipment generating exceptional levels of interest.
