Rober’s NoDec WIZARD cells close

Designed to be used as a pressure-relieving support mattress in children’s hospitals and paediatric units worldwide, Rober will be launching its AirFlex TRIO Junior mattress at this year’s Medica 2019.

The pressure care and ulcer prevention specialist will be aiming to engage visitors from across the globe with the new mattress, which caters for a weight range between 0 to 60 kilograms.

Mike Hutson, Chief Executive of Rober, said: “MEDICA is one of our key export events of the year so we are delighted to be launching our new mattresses at the exhibition. Like all our mattresses, the new AirFlex TRIO Junior is fully automatic, and anyone nursed upon it requires less frequent manual repositioning, thus relieving the pressure on busy nursing staff.

The company, which specialises in the development and manufacture of ‘zero pressure’ technology, says the new three cell-cycle alternating pressure mattress replacement system is designed to support children aged between 0 to 13 years old.

“It’s the first time we have used our technology to create a paediatric mattress so it’s an exciting time for us,” added Mike.

Alongside the new paediatric mattress, Rober will be showcasing two updated versions of its key mattresses – the NoDec AIRSTREAM3 and NoDec WIZARD.

Creating reduced height versions of the mattresses, the enhanced versions offer the same zero pressure as the originals but with a reduced height of 20cm to meet the BS EN 60601-2-52:2010 bed frame requirements of global hospitals.

Highlighting that all of its mattresses feature clinically proven technology that prevents pressure injuries from developing, the supplier states it ranges also have therapeutic properties that promote the healing of established ulcers.

Offering zero pressure protection, the mattresses replicate the body’s natural movements by responding to a patient’s weight, spontaneous movement pattern and body position, providing enhanced comfort and complete pressure elimination at regular intervals.

With over 120,000 delegates attending last year’s Medica trade fair, 2019’s event will take place from the 18 – 21st November 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany

Rober is located in Hall 16, Stand KI7-6.
