Rise & Recline elects to support independent homeless charity with its annual donation
Just before Christmas, Nottingham based Rise & Recline, a UK manufacturer of adjustable chairs and beds completed a donation to a local foodbank which supports the homeless.
The donation was made to The Canaan Trust, an independent homeless charity that has been supporting the homeless and those in danger of becoming homeless in the Long Eaton area of Nottingham since 1995.
The aim of the trust is to provide person-centred support, specifically tailored to the needs of everyone who seeks its help as no two cases are ever the same.
Nigel Morley, Director of Rise & Recline, commented: “Here at Rise & Recline, we look to support a local charity at Christmas, and we felt The Canaan Trust fully deserved our annual donation this year.
“The support they offer to vulnerable people in our community is invaluable and I hope our donation will make a small difference to everyone involved.”
Kevin Curtis, Canaan Trust Project Manager, added: “On behalf of everyone at The Canaan Trust I would like to thank Rise & Recline for their generous donation.
“Due to the current economic climate, fundraising is more challenging than ever so such a generous donation from a local business is gratefully appreciated.”
