Rehasense UK at Naidex

Mobility equipment supplier Rehasense UK used this year’s Naidex to launch two of its latest manual wheelchairs – the Icon 125 and the Icon 30 FAF – and said that it was “delighted with the response” both models received.

Lee French, Managing Director of Rehasense UK, commented: “These latest additions to our every growing portfolio proved to be extremely popular with everyone who visited our stand and the feedback from the trade, end users and healthcare professionals was extremely positive. Being able to showcase these new products along with our full range of manual wheelchairs, rollators and power add-ons to so many people was fantastic.

“Naidex also enabled us to network with dealers from around the UK in a relaxed atmosphere and we expect to see the benefits of these conversations over the coming weeks and months.”

The Icon 125 is a high-performance comfort wheelchair with a comprehensive range of set up options to ensure it will be suitable for most wheelchair users. Comfort, postural support and pressure relief is provided by the reclining back and tilt in space seat when combined with pressure distributing seat and back cushions.

Its height -adjustable arm rests and multi-adjustable head rest are covered in soft and pliant PU fabrics to minimise pressure. The Icon 125 is the most adjustable manual wheelchair available from Rehasense UK and is available in three sizes – small (41cm), medium (46cm) and large (51cm) has a maximum user weight of 180kg and has been crash tested to ISO 7176-19 standards.

The Icon 30 FAF is a compact fixed anterior frame, semi active wheelchair which means it is equally at home in a domestic or work environment as it is outdoors on different terrains thanks to its highly robust and durable design especially when paired with Power Assisted Wheelchair system (PAWS) and Trackwheel from Rehasense which will also be on show at Naidex.

This new model is currently available in four different sizes and is available for next day delivery. Standard features include 24” sport wheels, fully adjustable footplates, angle adjustable front castors and a tension adjustable padded backrest. As with the ICON 125, the ICON 30 FAF has also been crash tested.

Rehasense recently announced that it was supporting Dan Metcalfe with its Track Wheel wheelchair attachment as he prepares to take part in this year’s London Marathon in aid of Spinal Research.
