Recare gets ready to showcase the new Freedom One Life powerchair at Kidz North event
Mobility equipment retailer Recare will be introducing the Freedom One Life Series 5 powerchair alongside its leading wheelchairs, seating and clinical services for children and young adults at Kidz-to-Adultz-North, taking places on 1st November in Manchester.
Recare is a long-standing supporter of the Kidz exhibitions which overall provide a opportunity for all consumer and professional visitors to see the latest equipment and services for young people with disabilities. At Kidz North, Recare will once again be exhibiting its outstanding range of manual and powered wheelchairs and specialist seating, whilst showcasing its unique clinical knowledge and experience.
New for the 2022 show will be the unveiling of the Freedom One Life Series 5 powerchair. Designed by wheelchair user and founder of Freedom One Life, Alex Papanikolaou, the highly versatile 8mph Series 5 powerchair is a next generation solution in terms of versatility, performance and power. It combines a highly manoeuvrable compact design with substantial high-grip off-road rear wheels to deliver adaptable mobility in all scenarios.
The powerchair can tackle hills, kerbs and rough terrain and in terms of seat functionality, according to Recare, and it has a lift of 30cm and a recline of 50-degrees. A battery range of 40km+ ensures adventuring further afield with peace of mind is possible – enhanced by proven reliability for extra reassurance.
The Series 5 is crash-tested product that is ideally suited for transportation in a WAV with four easy access tie-down points. The onboard charger reduces the need for additional storage space and the backrest can be quickly removed when stowing. Overall, this latest powerchair from Recare once again underlines the company’s commitment to delivering independence at the forefront of innovation.
