Prosthetic manufacturer and patient care provider Ottobock has agreed to acquire Pace Rehabilitation, one of the UK’s independent providers of prosthetic and rehabilitation services for people who have sustained a serious limb injury.

Established nearly 20 years ago, Pace Rehabilitation has three clinics located in Cheshire, Buckinghamshire and Glasgow that provide a high quality level of service and expertise in the area of rehabilitation services.

Phil Yates, Managing Director of Ottobock UK, commented: “We look forward to completing the acquisition in due course and welcoming Pace Rehabilitation and its team of more than 40 employees to the Ottobock family.”

Pace Rehabilitation has been a customer of Ottobock for many years and the acquisition is an ideal opportunity for Ottobock to complement and enhance its offering in the UK and as a leading patient care company with a global footprint.

“We will join a network of clinics within a company that has a track record of bringing new and innovative products to the market. It is great news for all our stakeholders and we are excited for the future.”

Its product range includes prosthetic and orthotic components, wheelchairs, and rehabilitation and mobility products, including the Wingus power wheelchair and the Kimba, a children’s buggy which the firm re-launched in late 2021.

Earlier this year, Ottobock UK announced that Keir French would be joining its established Human Mobility team as Business Manager.
