Naidex 2024 unveils exciting agenda featuring diverse speaker line-up and inclusive activities
Leading UK disability event Naidex has unveiled its agenda for its upcoming event scheduled on 20th-21st March at the NEC Birmingham.
This year’s programme promises an engaging and insightful experience across five distinct theatres: The Main Stage, Accessibility Hub, Business without Barriers Stage, The Village Green, and the Neuro Theatre.
Naidex proudly announces a stellar lineup of speakers headlining the Main Stage, including renowned disability activist and content creator, Lucy Edwards, television personality, activist, model, and social media influencer, Tasha Ghouri, and one of the UK’s most influential disabled individuals, Shani Dhanda. Their thought-provoking talks are set to inspire and empower attendees, providing valuable insights into the disability community.
Dedicated to promoting improved practices and accessibility knowledge, the Accessibility Hub features talks and discussions from a range of fields.
Sessions include overcoming transport barriers, managing independence, knowing your disability rights, stepping up for occupational therapy, and more.
Visitors can connect with inclusive employers and talented disabled job seekers at the Business without Barriers Stage.
Companies such as Lloyds Banking Group, Coca Cola, Skyscanner, Legal and General, Evenbreak, and Google will be present to share their experiences with inclusivity in the workplace and beyond.
The Neuro Theatre will provide a haven for our healthcare professionals in attendance, with rehabilitation-focused discussions, including sessions touching on the critical role of caregivers and family in improving patient outcomes, and therapeutic positioning and effective problem solving.
The neuro theatre will provide a platform for professionals and experts to share advancements and insights in the field.
Visitors can also escape to The Village Green for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Activities include demos from Ian Taverner (aka Mr. Cookfulness!) offering culinary delights, soft archery and squash, inclusive dance performances, magic shows, and much more.
Steve Clarke, Managing Director for Naidex commented: “We are excited to present a diverse and inclusive agenda for Naidex 2024. With an outstanding lineup of speakers and activities, we aim to create an enriching experience for all attendees.”
