Mobility retailer merges branches to form one unique brand
Ian Bellamy, Director of Launceston Mobility Centre and Plymouth Mobility Centre, has taken the decision to merge the two retail outlets and form Unique Mobility.
Aiming to align the two operations to create a clearer brand for customers and manufacturers, the company says the move follows exponential growth from both branches, with new product lines being added weekly and new manufacturers keen to work with the two companies.
Ian explained: “There has been some confusion in the past from customers mistaking us as competitors, and, from manufacturers/ distributors when placing orders. To create a more streamlined operation, and a brand that people can recognise – we have decided to merge both branches and rebrand as Unique Mobility.”
According to Unique Mobility, having a recognisable brand will open up opportunities for further growth in the future for the company, as well as allow consumers to purchase products from a reputable retailer.
Operating Launceston Mobility Centre across a number of locations throughout Launceston since 2001 and seeing great success, Ian decided to open the Plymouth Mobility Centre in 2015.
In recent years, the company has greatly expanded its product offering, selling mobility scooters, powered and manual wheelchairs, rise and recline chairs, paediatric equipment, ramps and access solutions, stairlifts, vehicle adaptations, bathing equipment and more.
