Karma Mobility gets ready to showcase paediatric wheelchair at Naidex 2024
Mobility solution manufacturer Karma Medical is getting ready to showcase its latest paediatric wheelchair at Naidex 2024. The flagship event for the disability community takes place from 20-21 March 2024 at Birmingham’s NEC.
The new Karma Flexx Adapt, which was first previewed at Rehacare 2022 in Dusseldorf, claims to represent a new standard for mid-range pediatric positioning products. Its fully adjustable and configurable seating system helps to ensure a comfortable and supportive fit throughout childhood.
A new patented shock-absorbing seating system-dynamic backrest has been specially designed for children with hypertonia to manage muscle tone, increase comfort, and prevent hypertonia impact injuries.
Flexx Adapt combines tilt and recline functions to help the user achieve an almost horizontal trunk position to redistribute pressure from the hip bones. Its innovative spring system reduces sudden movements when operating the tilt and recline functions, significantly improving the users’ comfort and sense of security during postural changes.
It also features various caregivers and user-friendly designs, such as an adjustable stroller handle, drum brakes, 4D adjustable footplates, and medical-grade Dartex upholstery.
The adaptive seating system allows a wide range of accessory options for the ultimate personalisation.
The back panel’s slide-slot design and side rail technology facilitate the addition of different headrests, armrests, and supports.
According to Karma Medical, which will be on Stand F100 at Naidex, the new wheelchair is crash-test approved and easy to store and transport.
