Industry veteran Eddie Peacock to bring expertise to Topro UK as interim General Manager
Scandinavian walking aids manufacturer Topro has appointed Eddie Peacock as interim General Manager of its UK subsidiary, Topro UK.
No stranger to the mobility market, Eddie is well-known throughout the sector following his time at some of the mobility industry’s leading companies, including as National Sales Manager for Direct Sales at Sunrise Medical, as well as UK General Manager for movingpeople.net and Handicare Mobility.
In recent years, he has been working as a freelance consultant and offering his knowledge to players in the industry.
According to the Norwegian rollator specialist, Eddie will now be tasked with determining the future development of the well-established Topro brand in the UK.
“I am delighted to be given this opportunity to work with such a prestigious organisation. Topro is known for their superb range of products and top-quality manufacturing techniques,” Eddie told THIIS Magazine.
“I am fully aware that these are very testing times, but I have always followed the belief that problems provide opportunities for those with enterprise and courage.
“The coronavirus is presenting some huge challenges for the mobility industry and I plan to ensure that our customers are given every help as we work together closely, particularly in the coming months. I believe that a manufacturer should work in partnership with its distributors for the benefit of those who need our products and services. The move comes following the announcement at the start of the year that Topro UK was ending its distribution partnership with Dutch-firm Rollz International.
“I have inherited a very experienced team here and our future development is in their very enthusiastic hands,” he continued.
“Our customers can expect some early contact as we continue with our endeavour to build and improve solid partnerships with our customers.
