Handicare’s 1100 stairlift

Stairlift provider Handicare Accessibility is investing in new initiatives to listen to stairlift customers and industry experts with the launch of its Voice of the Consumer panel to help research their needs and preferences.

In bringing together customers and professionals to influence the direction of its product development and commercial activities, the global accessibility supplier is putting end users at the heart of its business.

Stairlift users and their carers will be invited to participate, as well as industry stakeholders from a range of backgrounds including healthcare professionals, local authority buyers, occupational therapists, and product designers.

This breadth of knowledge and expertise will provide vital insights into how Handicare can continue to provide innovative, industry-leading solutions for the problems its customers face in later life.

Handicare Executive VP Commercial Clare Brophy said of the launch: “We pride ourselves on supplying the very highest quality in stairlift solutions for our customers around the world.

“We know that our network of trade partners and local authority clients rely on Handicare to provide the perfect solutions for their customers’ needs.

“This panel is just one of the ways we’re investing, not only in levelling up our business to become the UK’s leading stairlift supplier, but in tailoring and developing our life-changing products to make everyday life easier for even more people.”

The panel will meet quarterly to advise on topics such as product design, marketing activities, and customer experience, to have a direct voice in Handicare’s activities across the board.

The exclusive panel will invite the most qualified voices in the industry to provide insights from a variety of research backgrounds. The project will also pay close attention to the lived experience of users of accessibility products.

As a global business, Handicare will hand select participants from a variety of regions to represent its diverse markets. Submissions are currently open for applications to join the group, which will be reviewed for the panel to be up and running in 2022.

Enabling the right people to join the panel has been key, as Clare Brophy continued: “We want to make this panel as accessible as possible, so that we get the right people involved.

“We’re providing a variety of ways for participants to contribute, utilising online and offline platforms to include those without digital access.”

Handicare is a division of global accessibility leader Savaria, providing accessibility solutions in more than 20 countries with manufacturing sites in North America, Asia and Europe.

The offering encompasses: curved and straight stairlifts; transfer, lifting and repositioning aids; and vehicle accessibility products and solutions.
