Lightweight portable mobility specialist eFOLDi has announced the appointment of a new business development manager to bolster field support for its growing network of UK retail partners.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic and the impacts from Brexit, the Surrey-based business reported a dramatic growth in sales turnover, largely attributed to a refocus in its UK trade operation and expansion into new export markets across Europe.

Shaun Finch joins eFOLDi with over 15 years’ previous experience in the mobility industry and brings both sales expertise and an extensive technical knowledge of scooters, wheelchairs and powerchairs.

Tim Ross, National Sales Manager at eFOLDi, commented: “We are delighted to have Shaun join the eFOLDi team. Shaun has a strong track record and a wealth of experience in the sector, and he has a solid mix of skills that will really help support our network of trade partners.

“The business has ambitious plans for growth, and as we continue to expand our market presence overseas, we are also keen to strengthen our efforts in the UK, so we remain focused on serving our dealers and driving business growth through close collaboration.

“Shaun will be responsible for the South of England and Wales region, supporting eFOLDi’s retail partners, delivering product training and helping to build strong, commercial relationships that ensure the continued success of our trade business.”

As one of the leading innovators of lightweight, portable scooters and powered wheelchairs, eFOLDi’s products are proving to be extremely popular with retailers in the UK as well as distributors overseas.

The company’s latest partnership venture includes its collaboration with Afikim Electric Vehicles who are distributing the ultra-compact scooters on the US market.

A move, anticipated to super-charge export success in a market where demand is forecast to grow rapidly due to changing demographics.
