Driving Mobility, the charity that operates driving assessment centres nationally, will be exhibiting services from its recently opened centre in Glasgow at the upcoming Kidz to Adultz Scotland exhibition on stand V4.

Kidz to Adultz Scotland takes place on Thursday 8th September 2022 from 9.30am – 4.30pm at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh.

Organised by the charity Disabled Living, the regional event is also a chance for healthcare professionals to gain CPD accreditation by attending educational seminars.

Driving Mobility’s latest centre, DriveAbility Scotland, is the first to provide disabled driving services for Scottish people as nearby centres in England cannot be accessed by residents north of the border due to NHS commissioning rules.

The Driving Mobility team will be on hand throughout Kidz to Adultz Scotland to support young disabled drivers and those wishing to learn. There will be advice on all aspects of adapted driving from tuition and gaining a licence through to appropriate vehicles and steering adaptations.

The DriveAbility Scotland team provides car driving assessments; driver and passenger access car seat assessments; driving tuition service; off-road assessment and driving adaptations assessments.

The new driving assessment centre is located next to Mobility Solutions, a part of Allied Vehicles, in Glasgow and is open Monday to Wednesday from 9am – 5pm, where its team are ready to resolve assisted driving needs.

Supported by The Department for Transport, Driving Mobility coordinates a network of over 20 centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, many with outreach facilities, which provide ‘fitness to drive’ and mobility equipment assessments.

Recently, in order to strengthen guidance and information for drivers with disabilities, Driving Mobility began supporting more relevant activities of the charity Disabled Motoring UK (DMUK).
